Learn how message actions work in journeys and how they control chatbot responses and interactions.

Message Actions in Journeys

Message actions define how the assistant communicates with users during a journey. These actions determine what responses are displayed and how the assistant guides users through interactions.

How Message Actions Work

  1. User triggers a journey – The assistant determines which message should be shown.
  2. Message action is executed – A predefined response is displayed.
  3. User input is processed – The journey continues based on the next action.

Configuring Message Actions

Messages can be added at any point in a journey to provide instructions, confirmations, or guidance.

  2. Click the Message action from the left-side panel.
  3. Enter the message text.
  4. Click Save to add it to the journey flow.

Editing a Message Action

  1. Open an existing journey and locate the message action.
  2. Modify the text to adjust what the assistant displays.
  3. Click Update to save changes.

Best Practices for Message Actions
